Added value with the MultiSports Group
Your MultiSports school comes literally with thousands of pounds worth of high quality equipment - so you don’t need to bring anything. Your child will use the best rackets, bows and arrows, footballs etc, and there is plenty of it. Participators not spectators – that’s our young people at MultiSports.
Classes are kept small, ensuring that your child receives as much time and attention as possible, meaning the coaches can complete basic instructions more quickly and students can spend more time on task. In a nutshell, our students thrive in smaller classes!
Twice a year, parents are given a written progress report on their child’s advancement. This is not only to keep parents updated but also to formally encourage, motivate and recognise the efforts of the past few months.
Sports Day for the main school is at the end of the Summer term and gives both children and parents the chance to show off their sporting prowess!
There is an open day at the end of every term for the Early Sporties classes when families are welcome to watch or join in the fun. The students are also awarded their medals so there is lots of cheering required!
Recognition of personal achievement and effort is of great importance to MultiSports. Awards are not based solely on natural sporting ability, but on sportsmanship, perseverance, enthusiasm and team work. Certificates are awarded regularly throughout the year as well as the prestigious annual ‘Student of the Year’ cup.
Competition is positive when handled appropriately – it’s how you deal with the victories and the failures that matter. We don’t shy away from competition, in fact, we believe it to be a healthy and normal part of everyday life. Old fashioned values of sportsmanship are arguably more relevant in today’s society than ever. Shaking your opponents hand win lose or draw, looking them in the eye, and playing hard but fair are central themes at all of our schools. We encourage a generosity of spirit amongst the pupils, and in particular, new students are ‘buddied up’ with responsible and established older students to help them settle in.
MultiSports have teamed up with Sports Leaders UK in delivering courses integrated within the MultiSports syllabus. Schools running the program offer students aged 14+ the opportunity to attain the Sports Leaders Level 1 and level 2 certification. Students are able to enrol at no extra cost.
